Veli Lake: A Clean Evening Hangout
Veli Lake in the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram City is a fine little tourist village. Enjoy the sight of Arabian Sea receiving the big orange sun in the evening from a calm island. Get to the island by walking over the bridge that floats on the water, which has its bottom about one Km down. See the kids enjoying themselves at the kids park or take a pony ride with one of the handful of ponies that roam the beach and park.
When you feel it is time for some refreshment, there are ice cream parlors and a floating restaurant.
